{Crazy Stupid Love}

I am so so excited to see this movie. From the second I watched the preview, I have been dying for it to come out. There are so many stars in this movie. I love Steve Carell, particularly when he's not trying to be funny (Dan in Real Life, so good!) plus Emma Stone, & Ryan Gosling. I love Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone together, they seem like they would have the best chemistry. I will be in line Friday night to see it, can't wait!

{Ryan helps Steve get back in the game after a divorce, I'm a sucker for a makeover movie}

{ So adorable }

{Carolina's Baby Shower}

I helped out with the sweetest baby shower this weekend and wanted to do a quick post on it. The theme was just blue, green, and a little yellow. No cheesy theme, I loved that. The food was so cute: fruit skewers, cheesecake pops, cake pops, mini brownies, cookies, tons of candy and sweet popcorn. I think I gave myself a cavity after eating all of those sweets. It was decorated so cute and I have helped with baby showers before with "diy onesies" and they always came out super cheesy. The onesie station at this shower turned out so cute. Just iron on fabric, some stencils and some buttons. All in all cutest baby shower I've help with yet.

Cake Pops

{Kelly's cake pop glamour shot}

I helped host a baby shower this weekend and I decided to attempt cake pops. I know this have been a trend out there for awhile, but they are just so dang cute. My sister and I fun making them, but this was definitely a messy project.

You will need:

boxed cake mix

16 oz frosting

lollipop sticks

parchment paper

chocolate to melt

sprinkles

Bake your cake and let completely cool. Crumble baked cake into large bowl and mix in 3/4 of frosting, until sticky. Roll into ping pong shaped balls.Place rolled balls onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet and chill in fridge for at least 15 minDip sticks in melted chocolate and place in chilled cake balls about half way in; chill again about 20 min. Dip cake balls into melted white or milk chocolate and decorate immediately. I used a flower styrofoam frog to let them dry so that they kept their shape.

And store in the fridge until party.

{Side note: I never want to see another cake pop as long as I live. I'm so over it, not that they weren't delicious, but it was such a mess, I had cake and frosting in some strange places.}

{Grapefruit Inspiration}

I am not the biggest fan of the grapefruit, unless its covered in sugar or mixed in a drink. But I am loving this coralish color that is everywhere. I don't want to call it coral, its more grapefruit. Not quite pink, not quite red. Here are some grapefruit like inspirations for the summer.

{Anthropologies' Revulets bedding, gorgeous!}

{I just got this Tarte 12 hr amazon clay blush in tipsy, I love bright blushes and this one last through the humidity}

{Yummy grapefruit cocktail, recipe}

{Essie, tarte deco, I have this color on now, its a lot brighter IRL}

Seriously?!

Its the 4th of July, my plans for the day: go to pool, grill out for dinner, and watching the fireworks show. Whats actually happening: I'm on my 3rd blog post, laying in bed with an 80 lb lab snoring in my ear ( I love that though, she's so sweet). It has been pouring since I woke up and I'm getting bored. There is only so much Food Network that I can watch. Thank God for the Cooking channel so I can switch it up a bit. I guess this gives me a chance to catch up on some stuff that should've been done days ago. I usually have to do lists on post its but since I'm being lazy I am going to make a list of stuff that has to get done on this post, that way I am super accountable for it.

1.Laundry/organize my closet ( I let it get out of control during the week, like, I don't hang up anything)

2. My homework, I have a 3 page paper due for my B Law class, this has to be done- so I don't stress during the week about it

3. Get stuff together for the baby shower that I'm helping with next week, cake plates, serving platters. I'm attempting cake pops, Lord help me.

4.Run to Target for a few things, like tortilla chips, I have all that salsa left!!

5. Clean, like deep clean my house. I haven't done this in awhile.

6. Finish Dexter Season 2, this show is incredibly addicting, I know I am way behind on this, but I am catching up. Michael C. Hall is so cute, I forgive him for including his middle inital in his name.

7.Pray that the rain clears so I can go have some fun.

{Girl Crush: Jennifer Aniston}

I have been a huge Jennifer Aniston fan since Rachel. You just have to love her. She's got great style and always seems so put together. But, I'm not going to lie, I had lost my faith in her a little bit. A lot of her movies have been so so and for awhile I wouldn't see a romantic comedy with her because I knew it would be semi lame. But, I think she is redeeming herself. Of course, I loved her in Marley & Me, she was pretty funny in Just Go with It, and I reluctantly watched The Switch the other night, and I loved it! Now she's in the new movie Horrible Bosses, she is a brunette dentist who sexually harasses her dental assistant. I saw her on the cover of the July Marie Claire and she looks fabulous, loving her shorter hair.{Jen with Jason Bateman, love him, so funny!}

{with Jason Sudakis from SNL, he's adorable.}

{Again with Jason Bateman, he was in The Switch and her newest movie}

{with Charlie Day in Horrible Bosses, this movie looks ridiculously funny, I can't wait to see it}

My Favorite Salsa

I love salsa. I wish there was some way to make the chips part of the "chips & salsa" good for you. I love a lot of cilantro in my salsa. I'm serious. No grocery store brand will do. I have to go to a certain Mexican restaurant to get my fix. Until, I came across this recipe. A former co worker gave it to me and the name of the recipe sold me. I made it right away and I have made it every year since! {Yum!}

MUCHO~MACHO CILANTRO SALSA

2 to 3 large cans of diced tomatoes ( I add fresh during the summer)

2 small cans of chopped green chilies

1/2 cup jalapenos

3 cloves of garlic

1 med green pepper

3 ribs of celery

1/2 onion

2 bunches of cilantro

5 tsp white vinegar

2 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cumin

Chop jalapenos, garlic, green pepper, celery, onion, and cilantro as fine as possible. Mix these and all other ingredients together in a large bowl. spoon mixture into food processor, batches at a time. This makes a ton, but never seems to last that long!

I sometimes eat this with whole grain tortilla chips and convince myslef that it is healthy.
