At work, for the past 2 weeks, we have listened to nothing but Christmas music and it makes me really happy. I love this time of year and love the music as well. You can't beat the classics, Frank, Elvis, The Beatles, but, there are some pretty good new ones out there too. I was wrapping up the last of my gifts(finally), and I put my ipod on my Christmas playlist. I decided to make a list of my favorites. I can't believe Christmas is this weekend! This year has flown by!

4 Million Lights...

This past weekend, my mom and I decided to take a break from decorating, and head to Branson, MO. I have season passes to Silver Dollar City, and I have only used them a few times. I have heard so much about their Christmas light display, but I've never gone to check it out. It was a great time. The weather wasn't too terribly cold and by the time we got there, after shopping, it wasn't too crowded. We ended up doing some flea marketing downtown, there are like 5 flea markets on Main St., and then we went to the outlets to Christmas shop. All in all, it was a great day with my mom. I only have one more day of work and one more present to buy!! Here are a few pictures of the park.
This tree was so huge, every half hour there was a show with music that coordinated with the lights. So pretty.

Trying to stay warm with hot chocolate
the hot chocolate with the works: choc chips, marshmallows, whipped cream, peppermint, choc on top!!

Yummy!

all the lights + the camera flash= I need a tan!

Such cute little shops and the best food ever!

{Radiant Reese}

Reese Witherspoon is back with a cute new movie. She is so freaking cute. I usually think brunettes are always prettier than blondes, but she is just adorable. I always love her hair, whether its short or long. I loved when she was with Jake Gyllenhall, I thought they were the cutest couple.
This new movie, How do you Know? is directed my James Brooks, who did Terms of Endearment, As Good as it Gets, along with a million other well known TV shows and movies. It looks really cute, and how can you resist Owen Wilson, he is the best.

There is one more weekend left to Christmas shop. To say that I need to get with it, is an understatement. I have gotten 1 tiny present and that's it. My sister and I make Christmas lists ( well, I started this, got made fun of, and now she does it too) and I made mine very down to earth this year. {Zach Attack!}

I have a confession. I have a secret crush on Zach Galafianakis. I love him. I love his beard. I just want to hang out with him all day. Am I alone on this? I highly doubt it. He has had a few bit roles in the past, but really broke out when he was in The Hangover. So freaking funny. He is everywhere lately though. I'm happy for him, but, now everyone is going to be crushing on him.So excited for Hangover 2, hope they don't overdo it. I heard that it takes place in Thailand.

Saw Due Date when I was in Cali, pretty funny. Love both of those guys. I teared up in this scene (that's his dad's ashes on the floor)
Zach Galafianakis: Live at the Purple Onion
the most hilarious stand up I have ever seen. He is drunk through the entire thing, but plays the piano beautifully.

Zach hosted SNL this past summer, you could tell which skits he had anything to do with, the one where he is the beauty queen's dad. I died laughing.
If you want a quick laugh, click here, Its Zach's fake interviews with celebrities, In Between two Ferns, sometimes, his twin brother, Seth, steps in for him.

Happy Thanksgiving!

{Happy Turkey Day!}
A few things I am thankful for today and everyday...
1. My family, though small, they have big hearts and I do not know what I would do without them (especially this year!)
2. My house, not quite moved in yet, but very excited for all of the storage space and backyard.
3. My job, very stressful, and I know I complain a lot, but it is great and I know that there are many out there with no jobs.
4. My health, knock on wood, I feel healthy, even through all of the stress.
5. My friends, the ones who know me and I can actually
count on.
6. My babies, meaning my dogs. They mean so much to me and have been my buds through some tough times.
And some not so important things, but none the less, still thankful for...
7. Target, you know what I mean. I could live there.
8. Fall weather, we are having such warm weather lately, today is suppose to be in the 30s, finally!
9. Thanksgiving leftovers, nothing beats a turkey sandwich.
10. Lazy days, like today. Sleep in, start cooking, watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, hang with friends & family, Eat, take a nap. Can't beat a day like that.

{Cute Coats}

Its that time of year again. Time to put up the fleeces and light jackets and bust out the heavy duty coats. I love them. I like them in every color, length, and style. I think the right coat can make an outfit. It can be the outfit. I am lusting over this coat from Old Navy. But, I am patiently waiting for their sale. Until then, I will have to just admire them. Here are a few more coats, along with celebrities in them.{Even Brittany is classy in this studded black coat}
{Cute Liv Tyler in a navy military coat}

{Gwen looking awesome, as usual, in a plaid belted coat}

{Cameron looking casual in a camel wrap coat}

{Thanksgiving Favorites}

I cannot believe Thanksgiving is next week. I am in the middle of moving, so I am stressing about that, but I am still a little excited about this time of year. I get to get together with my favorite peeps, my family, and eat and make awesome food and just be thankful for all that we have been blessed with. Here are a few of the things I am looking forward to eating making and just some cute ideas.I made these bacon wrapped dates last year and they were amazing. I got the idea from really cool South American restaurant and I had to recreate them.
Barefoot Contessa's pumpkin cupcakes. Yum.

Slatkin & Co. creamy nutmeg 3 wick candle. My favorite fall candle.

When I went to Cali, I saw these cake pops, like these, but I found this recipe for peanut butter chocolate pops that seemed more appropriate for Thanksgiving. Plus, I am not the biggest fan of cake and these are the perfect amount.

Gorgeous Pottery Barn table setting. They have these turkey plates every year, one year I will have them!

I love this idea, but when I searched for fake acorns, I found out that they don't come cheap. So, my frugal self, went out to my parents land and found the real deal for nothin. Same look, sorry squirrels!

Obession: Ben & Jerry's

Its offical: I'm single. I am sitting in my living room eating B&J ice cream out of the carton. I am obsessed with their ice cream and when I saw that they made frozen yogurt, I had to try it. Its pretty good. Normally, my favorite is Cherry Garcia or Berry Berry Voluntary. I watched a whole Biography on Ben & Jerry the other night (once again single & nerdy). Such a cool company. They started back in the late 70s in a small shop and now they are a huge successful company loved by millions. The charity work that they do is so cool and they have been "all natural" since the get go. {Yum!}

{California Dreaming}

I just got back from Southern California and I feel like I could move there in a second. I love the West coast. It is so laid back and just has a cool vibe. I was visiting my parents who are living in Oceanside. It was so nice to get out of town and be around my parents. I miss them so much and can't wait for them to get back. We spent almost everyday at the beach since they live right across the street from it. All of the little beach towns are so unique and cute. Of course, since we were only about 4 hours away, we headed to Vegas for Halloween weekend. Every time I visit them we always head out there. If I lived on the West coast I swear I would be in Vegas at least once a month, it is such a blast. We finished up the trip with a night in LA, which is always fun. No celebrity spotting this time. Here are some pics of my very long, but not long enough vacation.{Oceanside pier @ sunset}
{the very famous LA Farmer's Market @ 3rd & Fairfax}

{I am so obsessed with this farmers market, they have everything}

{watching the surfers never got old, such an awesome sport, I want to learn}
